Customize the behavior and functionality of your store’s cart with the following options:

• Cart type: Choose how the cart is displayed when a user adds items. Select between:

  • Dropdown: Appears below the cart icon, providing quick access without leaving the current page.
  • Page: Redirect the user to a dedicated cart page.

• Enable cart note: Allow customers to add special instructions or notes before proceeding to checkout. This can be useful for personalized requests or additional information.

• Cart page summary on mobile: Choose how the cart page summary is displayed on mobile. This setting applies to the full cart page only, and the cart drawer is not affected.

Gift wrapping

• Gift wrapping product: Select the product that will be added to the cart when customers choose gift wrapping. Here is how you can use this feature:

  • Go to your Shopify admin dashboard and create a gift wrapping product. This process is the same as creating a regular product. You can also set the Status to Unlisted so the product isn't visible on your store's search page.

    Ensure the product is in stock. Otherwise, disable inventory tracking or enable the Continue selling when out of stock option.

  • Then, from Theme settings ⇒ Cart ⇒ Gift wrapping product, you should select the product that you already created.

    

  • Now the gift wrapping checkbox will be added to the mini cart and cart page in the storefront. If customers select it, then the gift wrapping service will be added to the cart.
